I think it would be more appropriately labeled stupid ball.

While it's idiotic for the star player to dribble the ball up and down for 15 seconds and shoot a contested 20-footer at the buzzer, it's equally idiotic for four players to stand still and do nothing for the entire time. I thought these guys got paid to play basketball games, not to watch them?

Boston needs to put forth a crap performance occasionally in order to motivate themselves for the remainder of the series..I hope that was today for them. They were just coasting all game..

No I think basically they just aren't that good. They put a similar performance up in game 1

The East in general isn't very good. With Bosh out, its even worse.

I love that carlisle always ran their offense and drew up plays.

I wish Gene Hackman had drawn up a better play. Or Jimmy Chitwood had shot an airball. The shot that changed basketball history - for the worse, I would argue.

I give Lebron some credit for at least attempting to run a play while playing with four statues.

i agree it's not the '08 championship team, but it's weird they seem to have close games with everyone whether it's the bobcats or the heat. the only way i can explain that is that they play to their opponent's level.

Lebron would've been hacked and destroyed by 3 Pistons on that play and not really got a good shot off, and if he was lucky he would've gone to the line with a chance to tie if he made both free throws. Like I said that means you are less than 50/50 for overtime. I would rather a teammate shoot a wide open three personally. Donyell would have to be less than 25% on that shot for Lebron not to pass (that's some ridiculous choke factor you'd have to be including since he was a WIDE OPEN 35% shooter and was shooting really well in the playoffs). It's not like this math is hard. If they were down 1 you are probably right but there's a huge difference between being down 1 and down 2.

Being a defensive team with mediocre offense plays into this as well.
