Default TIA Seminar

I'm planning on taking the TIA online seminar - mainly for the video lessons. I'm wondering how the outlines/flashcards compare to others. Has anyone found it necessary to supplement (or replace) the provided materials with other flash cards or manuals from GRASP/MATE?

My sense is to go with the TIA materials, unless anyone feels there is a significant gap between TIA and the others.

Thanks.

Do TIA flash cards and manuals exist for this exam? I'm not seeing anything about that here: http://www.theinfiniteactuary.com/?page=soa_gh_dp

I found the TIA materials combined with the syllabus readings to be entirely sufficient. Meaning - I think that if you use those and apply adequate preparation time, you should be able to pass with confidence.

I don't have results yet, but I think this exam sitting could have been a slam dunk for someone who used TIA+readings+adequate study time.

Be prepared to spend some time in the beginning organizing the materials they give you though.

I am referring to the following (taken from the TIA site):

Detailed outlines of all the readings
Condensed outlines to help with memorizing important items
Printable notecards of all readings

Yes, I covered that.

I see no need to supplement them.

Sorry Form, I was replying to the prior post around whether TIA manuals/flashcards exist for this exam.

Thanks for your feedback. Your approach sounds good to me. Now if only I had a syllabus.

You can just get the spring 2012 syllabus and make some easy decisions about what is likely to remain. Group Insurance for example, will still be on the syllabus.
