Question How much would you expect to pay for 2 fingers of Macallan 18?

Assume very upscale place.

I would expect that I wouldn't pay anything for that. If someone else were treating, and encouraged me to order, I might get some, but I wouldn't be buying it at an upscale place.

A quick internet search shows a bottle going for $80-$175. I will assume retail is the higher end of that, so $175 for a bottle. Typically in a restaurant 4-5 shots pay for a bottle retail, so ~$40?

This. Either someone is buying it for me or I'm not drinking it.

I would expect to pay about 30, based on it a being a "very high end" place.

Shouldn't have opened this thread. It just reminds me now that I'm out of scotch and need to stop at the liquor store.
