I haven't looked at the announcement, but I'm sure it has to do with the 4th of July being a Wednesday this year, meaning more people are taking vacation time around it than normal, because otherwise you just get one useless day off in the middle of the week.

G-d Forbid you don't take vacation one year around July 4th to fulfill your duties to the appx 3000 candidates (guess at 900 per 5,7,9 and 300 for 3L) who paid approximately 1.8M to get some closure. This will be more of an issue when they start offering exams 5,6 twice a year

Oh c'mon. I want my results too but don't expect a bunch of CAS volunteers to plan their vacation schedules so that I can get results a week early. The official timeline says 8 weeks.

seriously, at least they did us the courtesy of announcing it now so we won't be eagerly anticipating the results every day at 3 starting next week.

Sorry, these people are for the most part not paid for this.

[cranky senior voice]You kids nowadays are spoiled anyway. In my day, we didn't get results until after the 4th almost every year. [/csv]

Yep, I believe one year either the SOA or CAS announced a date for releasing grades, then released them earlier than announced. So you never know.

Yea, the CAS did that in 2010. They released 7US ahead of the window that was posted on the CAS website.
