Still the same, using quadratic formula. It's a lot easier to type equations into the 30X though, and it shows you all of your work at once.

lol how hard is it to just type in the formula? it's not even a long one
if you want you can store your values as a, b, and c to make the equation look nicer on your calculator screen. If you're in mathprint mode you can do it all in 1 shot and make it nice and pretty but if you're looking for a button where it will just ask you to input a b and c then have it spit out the answers you're outta luck. |

One trick I have been using is with the TI-30X IIS. if you have large or wanky numbers (e.g. 48390.029357420578), save them as A, B, and C in your calculator with the store function. Then set up the formula using A, B, and C as you should. Substitute in the the numbers where you need.
Also, this is one of the most used tools on all of the exams. Over time, you will find a way that is easiest for you!
