TI 30X IIS, the multi line display is useful and you can use the stat screen for the monte carlo stuff... You don't need any of the BAII+ worksheets for this exam, either.

I may be in the minority here but I love the BA II Plus. I tried using the TI-30X IIS for this exam and find it kind of slow to do calculations and store/recall numbers from memory.
Maybe it's because I'm really used to the BA II Plus but I'm extremely fast and efficient with the calculator.

On the BA II Plus, I love the fact that calculations done to the numbers currently on the screen take effect immediately. For example, if after doing some calculations and arriving at an intermediate result, I need to square the number, I can simply hit square (or log or whatever function I need) and it will perform the calculation on the number currently on the screen. Contrast this with the TI-30XIIS where after an initial calculation, if I need to log the result, I have to hit log and then 2nd Ans to achieve the same thing.

Then again, maybe it's because I'm too used to the BA II Plus. I'm sure those who are good with the TI-30XIIS simply perform calculations in a different order to optimize speed.

Yup, Multiview. You'll need a secondary calculator for FM only; you need a few of those finanicial / bond functions.

One of my biggest regrets (in life) is that I didn't get the MultiView until my 4th prelim.

If that is one of your biggest regrets in life, I'd say you're doing alright.

You might as well bring both if you're not sure, you can have more than one calculator.

well they're wrong
but they have no reason to buy a new calculator if they're done with exams
and they can do everything in excel
and if you want extra dust the BAII+ is a great dust collector
