How should I apply for this job?
A little background. At my previous job we had to either move to the new office locaton or find a new job, I picked option 2. I've been at my current job for about 6 months. I had to move to a part of the country that I didn't think I would ever live and fortunately it's been a good place to live. I like my current employer and co-workers but I've never stopped looking to move to my ideal location. Recently a position posted at my ideal location. FYI, this location doesn't have a lot of actuarial positions available. It is with a company that I've previously interviewed with but didn't get the job due to inexperience for that job. |

I've found that networking into the job always gets me further. I would go with whichever person inside will give me the best support. If they all know and (dis?)like me about equally, then I would contact whoever is likely to have the most influence on the hire.

![]() If you don't have any friends at the company, the previous hiring manager would probably be the one who would know you the best.
