Its widely known that leaving your house leads to many unneccesary deaths every year. We need to ban that too.

I've been wondering how the "lets ban cigarettes" and "lets legalize pot" camps get together.

I googled it and I think there used to be a law in one state but not any longer.

Depends on the jurisdiction probably, but for the most part, yeah. I think the idea is that you will litter less if you have a trash bag in the car. It's a stupid law though.

OK, you got me. The friends/acquaintances I know who complained about this did live in Washington state and the incidents happened prior to the law's repeal in 2003. I thought it was just one of those things that everyone was supposed to know. But maybe only people who take driver's ed in Washington.

As you may be able to deduce from my avatar... I've spent a lot of time in Washington over the years

I honestly had no idea that it wasn't a law other places.
