Default Selfish thoughts

Got a call Friday night from the guy that plows my driveway. I don't really know him, but he lives in my neighborhood. Tells me he won't be able to plow for the rest of the season because he's going to be going in for bypass surgery. First thought (and comment) was: no problem, hope everything goes well for you. But quick on the heals was the thought (no comment): boy, I hope it doesn't snow again this year.

How inconsiderate! Who cares about your stupid driveway?! The important question is, "how does this affect me?" The answer is, "it doesn't," so I'm ok with it.

What a jerk. There's a guy here with a problem. A big problem. Me. And all you have is silly little comments about it. So get back on track - what am I going to do about my driveway?!? :P

Sorry about that. How selfish of me. Let me just give you some helpful advice: Find someone else to plow your driveway. Whatever you do, don't do it yourself. That would be selfish to not let someone else have the enjoyment of plowing your driveway. It's also dangerous - I mean, look what happened to the last guy!

Geeez, Rolie! You live in a snowy area, so my guess is that you pay one price for the whole winter rather than pay each time it snows. So the answer is obvious: sue this guy for breach-of-contract and add in some big bucks for the emotional upset he's caused you.

On a semi-tangent: I predict a massive snowstorm that hits wherever Rolie Polie Olie lives sometime this month.

Uhhhhh, is that usually an option? I pay by the storm. And I'm not complaining about it this year at all. I think he's come a total of 5 times, including twice during one big storm and once when we probably could have done without but I was feeling super lazy.

I'm just going to go with my annual routine of "I hereby declare that I am done with winter. No more shoveling." Hopefully it all melts before it's an issue.

I know when I lived not that far from you, our landlord paid one price for the entire winter. Kind of like gambling.

At least where I am... a little bit tonight. Hardly the 90 degree weather of the Caribbean, brrr!
