Waterloo doesn't have actuarial programs less than 3 years, it's a university, he had a 4 year equivalent honours degree. Trust me. Are you even an actuary? There's a lot of people who make a lot more than $40,000 a year and complain about it. Go to a professional athletes discussion forum and call them arrogant. The NHL's going on strike next year, average salary of about 2 million, and don't talk about market value, almost every team is losing money so clearly they're making MORE than fair market value. Go bother them. People can complain on this site about whatever they want. I really hope you're an actuary or I wasted a good 15 minutes of my time with these 3 posts. Take care.

Well, 8 terms is 32 months. That's 2 years and 8 months. Thus, the degree is completed in less than 3 years.

Alec,

The title of your thread is starting to drive me crazy. Please rename it to “Canadian Job Market”.

Thanks.
