Seph and I are both recent (within the last yr). I don't think the youngest age has really changed over the years, but the number of candidates at that age has probably increased. Is that what you're trying to say?

I know at least 3 people that had obtained their ASA at the age of 22 - none of which were in an actuarial science program.

I have a friend who will be receiving her FSA in March. She will be 23 years, 1 month.

Yes, I know about her. That's quite an accomplishment.

That was an explicit goal.

Actually, now that I think about it, all 3 of these individuals that I know took and passed 2 exams in a sitting at one point.

On February 22, I gave an FSA certificate to a young guy from Waterloo, Ontario, who on that day was 22 years, 5 months and some days old. (I'm not being exact to protect his privacy.) He was the youngest FSA since 1978 and the third-youngest of all time to go through the SOA system start to finish. (We had a partially mutual-recognition FSA finish earlier, but I don't recognize that as a record because of the mixed educational systems.)

We had three 24-year-olds on February 29.

Why is it that Canadian actuaries seem so much more obsessed with getting exams done early than Americans? Not that there's anything wrong with that; I highly recommend getting exams done early.

I love the situation I'm in now with increased responsibilities at work that require I stay later and later and on weekends while still needing time to study for exams. If I could do it all over again, I'd try to sprint through the exams like my life depended on it while in college and early in my career instead of taking a 5 year break.

Job market.

Prolly why US ActSci students are kinda lazy in that respect

I hear it all the time 'meh...I can get a job with two exams'
