Default New Florida quarter

The gallant crew of the Santa Maria, weary from their long journey, drops anchor off the coast of Florida...only to be struck by another falling Space Shuttle.

Speaking of state quarters, is there a worse design than Michigan's?

I mean, yes, those are the great lakes. But what about Motown, the automotive industry, or any of the other things Michigan is known for?

Michigan's quarter should be a picture of someone using their hand as a map.

The best part of Michigan's quarter is Wisconsin.

What about riots after their sports teams win championships, devil's night, 8 mile, and Nancy Kerrigan getting her leg whacked at the cobo?

I have to agree Michigan's is bad. I can't say I like my state's either. The only good thing about Texas' is that the big star is on top of my house (in Dallas).

The ropes make it look more complete than Michigan's.

But both states are missing the point!! Wouldn't it be boring if all 50 states just had their state outline on a quarter? Anyone could look at a map to see what Michigan is proud of. Why not tell us something about your state that you are proud of- such as the horse on Kentucky's.

I had heard a rumor that Texas would use Nolan Ryan, but I figured they would have had the Alamo on there or the picture of them signing the tx. constitution as a free nation, but this is just dumb! put some barbeque or an oil spindletop, or cowboys or something like that.

I'm sure michigan has some things they are proud of. Show us!
