Default RF Survivor Game

For those who do not venture into the games section much (a good portion of us, I'd guess), I'd like to plug a new game I'm running...Rebel Outpost Survivor.
I have no doubt it will pale in comparison to the original -- by which I mean Ebenezer Kohl's Legends of the Water Cooler, not the CBS TV show -- but hopefully it'll be a lot of fun.

Swing on by, check it out, and sign up when you get a chance!

As long as there are no Othello challenges, you are a giant step ahead of Legends of the Water Cooler. Funny and yet serious, be aware of the obsessive nature of actuaries, including me.

There are still a few openings left in the game, if any of you have worried that we already filled all the spots.

How many openings are there?

Excellent question. I will accomodate as many as wish to play. We currently have 15 signed up (at 16, I'm going to ask if glenn would like to contribute a prize to the winner). Somewhere between 16 and 24 would be ideal, to allow for optimal teamwork -- after all, not everyone will be able to participate in every challenge. Some of us have jobs we'd like to keep, you know.

Might be worth noting that this is not a watch-the-show-and-pick-the-winners type of contest. You will actually be playing in challenges against your fellow RFers, and you do not need to know anything about the CBS TV show in order to play.

And we just had the 16th person sign up, so I've sent a note to glenn. Not sure what the general guideline is these days -- I thought at one point, he had mentioned something about a minimum number of players and maybe I made up "20" but that's what's stuck in my head.

Avi won a stapler a couple months ago and he still hasn't shut up about it, so they must be pretty nice
And I've heard pretty good things about the golf shirts too.

EK, you've run a game very similar to this before on the CAS Water Cooler, I know. Is it a fair statement that this is going to be a big pain in the arse and that I'm getting in over my head with this? A few people have made comments about how they will just watch "this time" or that they won't play "this time". But as I've been putting together challenges in the evening, I've already pretty much decided that, for me as an organizer at least, there isn't likely to be a "next" time.
(No pressure)

This is going to be a complete nightmare for you. I would not wish what is about to happen to you on a normal person… but we aren’t normal, are we? I loved the pressure. I think you will enjoy the turbulence.

Man, I had a great challenge idea that I was going to suggest to you call Egg Carton Assassins. It seems simple enough in my head but then you have to get everyone on the same page. The person who doesn’t understand correctly will likely be voted out. The designer of the challenge is partly to blame.

You may think you won’t want to do this again, but I enjoyed the rush. I hope you will change your mind.

I THINK THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER!!!
