Default Excel 2000 vs. Excel 2003 ..... Access 00 vs Access 03

Has anyone went from Excel 2000 to Excel 2003? I was just wondering what the advantages are of 03 compared to 00? Somone was telling me you could have more lines and the processing speed was stepped up.

Any info on Access 03 vs Access 00 is greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks!

On conversion to Acess 03 any of my forms that used the 'TIRM()' function now return a non-fatal error. Funny thing is that it reacts as if there is no TRIM function, yet it is still listed in the HELP. Other than that, I have had no problems with conversion.

I have been using Excel 2003 for about 9 months now. The differences between Excel 2000 and 2003 are generally minor. There is, however, a MAJOR bug in Excel 2003's RAND function - see http://www.woodyswatch.com/office200...late.asp?1-n11 .
This, however, is easily overcome using VBA and the new improved random number generator in Excel 2003 instead of RAND, which I never use anyway.

There is one major hint of the future in Excel (and Word) 2003 and that is that you can use VB.NET or C# instead of VBA if you have (1) a complete install of Office 2003, (2) Visual Studio.NET 2003, and (3) Visual Studio Tools for Office - an expensive setup. Impractical now, but I expect this will be simplified and made much more affordable as a replacement of VBA by 2008.

Either the problem has been there for a while, or I am delusional and only think that I am using Access 2003. Having just checked, I vote for the latter.

PK, I think someone was having some fun with you. I thought about it but decided not to.
