I hope Kerry amends his FEC complaints to include these obvious violations, but alas he makes baseless complaints about connections that don't even exist between Bush and swift vets. He's upset because some republican donated to the swift vets, but I'm sure none of the supporters of his 527 are democrats.

Prepare for the inevitable next absurdity in the campaign finance debate, the banning of 527s, which will be portrayed as the solution to all the evils of modern politics, much as McCain-Feingold was several years ago. The celebrations will last about three hours, that being the amount of time before willing donor and cash-starved politician are again legally reunited in some new mechanism, with a name equally as bland as "527" that will make politicians will sound just as silly as they denounce each other over them.

I think that the root of peoples' concern was Bush's possible connection to the content in the swift-coat ads. I don't think they're going to get too worked up about this above hypocrisy unless it's revealed that the Democratic party partnered with Michael Moore.
