Default Excel display problem - plz help

Even though I don't really have anything to do at the moment (or not enough), Excel has wigged out on me and the menu at the top with File, Edit, etc. has disappeared. I'd like to be able to at least pretend that I'm doing something. How do I get it back? Thanks.

And I know I didn't hide it when I closed it out Friday.

I think what you want to do is show the "Worksheet Menu Bar". The way you would do this is by clicking going to Tools/Customize/Toolbars and Xing "Worksheet Menu Bar". That is, that's what you would do if "Tools" were showing.

Ummm, yes? I right click on a toolbar, and 'Customize' is grayed out. WTF is wrong? This is irritating.

That's what I did in the first place! So, I did the opposite and opened Excel from Start -> Programs. That seemed to help, but how do I solve the display problem? There must be some way!
