Default Course 4: Sample Exam #8 and #9

#8: What is going on in the solution.
#9: Why isn't the DOF = 5-2-1 = 2

I had the same question about #9. The solution in the Actex manual doesn't address the degrees of freedom. But since there are 5 groups and 2 estimated parameters, df should be 5-1-2, which isn't one of the choices.

What about #8 don't you like?

#9 According to Mahler's, Since the Pareto was not fit to the data set (a different data set). DF = 5-1

#8 Check out the book appendix for this. I still don't understand it totally.
