Default Cussin' Dale Jr.

I'm not a NASCAR fan, but I gotta know ...

What did Dale Earnhardt, Jr. say that got him in this trouble? Can you say it without violating the rules of this forum?

Earnhardt was docked 25 points and fined $10,000 for cursing during a TV interview after his victory at Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR announced Tuesday.
Again, I really don't like NASCAR, but I think that it's horribly unfair to dock Earnhardt points for something that went on entirely out of the race. Fine him all you want, but it shouldn't have anything to do with who wins the championship.

I remember in 1996 when Michael Irvin swore in a nationally televised interview after winning the NFC championship game. Should the Cowboys have started down 0-3 points in the Super Bowl?

I would agree. If for some reason he loses the trophy by 25 points or less, NASCAR will have egg on its face especially since apparently he let in slip during the celebration (he won the race.) Its not like he was threatening another driver or something.

I don't follow the sport much but I understand that NASCAR makes alot of decsions like this. On the other hand it appears NASCAR fined and docked some other guys this season and it probably is sensitive to showing favoritism to the most popular driver.

Asked Sunday by NASCAR broadcaster NBC about the significance of his fifth victory at Talladega, Earnhardt said, "It don't mean s--- right now. Daddy's won here 10 times."

He is more responsible for what he says than the speed of his car.

Earnhardt said, "It don't"
I think he should be fined for bad grammar. What type of example is he setting?
