I gave up on tv years ago, but after watching the pilot episode, I was hooked!
The chick with the shady background who was sitting next to the federal agent on the airplane in handcuffs is really fine too.

I did, though I thought it was the most boring episode yet. I wasn't all that interested in Sayid to begin with and his background wasn't terribly revealing. Meeting the French woman was interesting somewhat, but I just felt it dragged on.
Hoping to get more answers soon.

I've seen a few episodes of this show. I made an effort to watch last night since it looked like they might provide some answers, what with the french chick being there and all. I was dissapointed, but here's my interpetation:
The french was with a 'science group' that got shipwrecked on the island. A disease of some kind wiped them all out, or made them insane or something so she had to kill them. She is immune for some reason. The fact that she said there is no monster is odd because of the pilot that was killed by a monster. But I mostly agree with Orion. This episode was kind of boring and I really didn't care about Sayid's background (or any of them for that matter). I get the feeling the writers are making this stuff up as they go along. I don't like that.

I thought it was a lame episode...particularly the golf course stuff
 However, I did care about Sayid's background...thought that piece was interesting.

Tonight's episode was cool. Spooky. i thought the prego's background story would be super lame but that psychic bit had me on the edge of my seat. And the ending? All I can say is WOW. Can't wait till next week. This is the best show on TV by far.
