Default 2008 Election

Any early predictions on candidates for either party in 2008? Because issues are not as important as how well the candidate is liked by the middle.

I don't see Chenny as a viable candidate. Will he get the nomination due to tradition? Any rising stars that could push the old man aside?

There's been a lot of talk about Hillary in 2008. I don't see it happening. Who do the Dems have to challenge for the presidency next time?

I am just about 100% certain that the dem candidate - and presidential winner in 2008 will be Billary. That pair are political steamrollers.

Cheney won't run...he's already stated that fairly emphatically.

Chenny has said he is not going to run so the field is wide open.

Hillary/Obama gets steamrolled by Giulani/McCain.

My prediction is that the 2008 nominees will not include anyone named Clinton or Bush.

McCain: For some reason I don't think the religious base likes him. I don't like him because of CFR.

My sincere hope is that each of the two parties runs a candidate that I could in good conscience vote for. It would be nice to have a choice for a change.

In order for me to consider a candidate they need to:

1) Not try and bankrupt the country through deficit spending
2) Not try and impinge on my civil rights
3) Surround themselves with advisors that give them a spectrum of opinions
4) Have enough sense to understand what their advisors are telling them and make informed choices
