I got lazy- but then I joined a company that had blood drives on-site. Donated once, then got sent to a developing country which meant I was deferred for 6 mos. Now I'm eligible again but the next drive is when I'm out of town.

Passed out both times I donated, so I only donate in emergencies. I'm not fit to drive if I donate which leaves me in a bind.

I gave blood regularly for years and years. I quit doing so for two reasons: DNA testing and the Canadian govermment taking over the collection and distribution
