Our book club has decided to watch and discuss a video at our December meeting, in lieu of reading a book.

January we will be doing an old favorite of mine, The Bridge of San Luis Rey, by Thornton Wilder.

Just finished Ngaio Marsh's A Clutch of Constables. I like her mysteries. Just started Agatha Christie's Autobiography and a Nero Wolfe book, Three Aces.
(FYI, Wolfe is a character, Rex Stout is the author.)

I find the quality of Ngaio Marsh's stories a bit uneven, but "A Clutch of Constables" is one of my favorites.

I liked AC's autobiography, except that she totally ignores "the incident". It just isn't mentioned at all. Forget getting her side of the story.

Well, that was a quick read. I'll finish out the series, and I can see why tween girls are obsessed with it, but I didn't find it all that well-written. And I wish it were in third-person, rather than first-person. But I'm glad to know what the fuss is about, anyway.
