I was wondering the same thing. I'm assuming that they would have translation services like they have at the national conferences.

I think I will be attending the Montreal seminar in May, and hopefully they I'll get to hear it in English.

Considering both the English and French pages are the same for location and times (ie.http://www.actuaries.ca/meetings/professionalism_e.html and http://www.actuaries.ca/meetings/professionalism_f.html), I think this gives further confirmation that they will be accessible to people in either language.

I emailed the CIA, and she said that Toronto will have two English sections, and Montreal will have one English and one French section.

Oooh, that's funny, because when I attended the APC last June, I arbitrarily chose the morning session. I wasn't aware that one was to be given in French and the other in English.

But anyway, before the seminar started we were asked if anyone preferred to have it done in English. Out of roughly twenty people, I was the only one who raised my hand. I felt guilty about it -- the seminar organizers were more fluent in French than in English -- but I wasn't comfortable enough with my knowledge of French to have the seminar given in French.

P.S. Paul, if you're going to attend the morning session, PM me if you wanna do lunch afterwards.

I didn't even realize there was a morning and afternoon session. The details do seem lacking in my opinion.

I guess I will be going to the session given in English (if I ever find out which one that is). I'll keep you posted.
