Default WheelScrollLines

You guys are smart maybe you know the answer to this. Everytime I log in my mouse is set to scroll 1 line at a time, I have to go into the control panel and set it to go faster. Annoying to do everytime I log on. I use XP and usually set it to 5 lines at a time.

Now funny thing is, in the registry, right after I log on, when the mouse is scrolling only 1 line at a time, the registry setting for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WheelScrollLines is set to 5. When I look in the control panel under the mouse settings is shows 1. Why do I have to keep making the change manually? Any ideas?

Is this at home or at work?

Work may have some control put in that over-writes that line everytime you start up the computer.
