So how did they define jumping the shark on the show?

It was a little softer than "the point when a series begins to suck". Garry then noted that they had 100 more episodes after the shark episode.

I remember being excited when Happy Days premiered that season (IIRC, part 1 of the shark episode was the season premier.) The Richard Prior show debuted the same night but I went with HD. Needless to say, it sucked and I regretted not choosing Richard Prior.

Different actors played the same guy. As I understand it, the Chuck character never really fit into the flow of the show so, they pretended as if he never existed.

Did they acknowledge the fact that the front door moved from the left side of the living room set in season 1 to the right side after that?

That never came up. But they did talk about the move to a live studio audience which I found interesting. =

One of my neighbors was in a couple episodes. He played "Joanie's weird boyfriend" Roger in one of them.

I agree with your assessment about Mrs. C & Joanie.

I think that they had some pretty poor editing. The thing didn't flow all that well. It was somewhat painful to watch...as in, "This show really isn't that good, but I want to watch it anyway because I'm interested in it and they might show something that I'll regret missing."

Saying "[insert repetitive comment here]" after someone says "Saying that the phrase 'jumped the shark' has jumped the shark has now officially jumped the shark..." after someone else said "The phrase "jumped the shark" has now officially jumped the shark" is like, SO 2004.
