Out 19th place.

Had just horrible cards, and when tried to bluff at pots, he had a hand. Oh well.

Brew in Final 16, 1more win and he moves on.

Stupid HU. Hate it.

stupid stupid stupid
I finished in 10th................got tired of the tight SOB I was playing and went all in with A2 he called with KJs. If that holds up I would have been winning 16k to 8k but flopped a J and now I stayed up till 3:15 for nothing.

I played in the WA game... I didn't realize it was a HU tourney, which is not my strongest. First opponent, back and fourth for a while, then I acidentally bet 650 instead of 65 (Damn 10 key) He called with the better hand. I never recovered. Interestingly, 2 players who were sitting out were paired together, and it took stars over an hour to resolve the issue.

that's pretty funny. what's they do? I'd like to think there is a time limit before forfeit, and both forfeit so neither advances?

No idea. I went to bed before they resolved it. I'm kinda glad that I didn't move on to the 2nd round because I was tired and I didn't want to wait god knows how long for the 2nd round.

I'm planning on being in the final Massachusetts qualifier tonight.

Since it's HU, I might miss the BH for it if I get through the first couple of rounds.

Like jeff, I also didn't realize it was a HU tourney until after it started. There were 115 people registered and I got a first round bye. I wonder if they determine that randomly or based on FPPs. In any case, I had no intention to sit through 3 rounds of this and so in my first match, I told my opponent that I would go AI every hand cause I had to go. He was cautious and folded several hands before calling with AA. I had 87. Turn and river are 8's. Next round, I decide to actually play it out, but lose in about 10 hands. Good luck to all of you trying this.

Why not just play it out? HU matches are fun. The $20+2 HU is my favorite stars tourney.

Yes they're fun. I get away with more bluffs in them than in any other scenario (but that's expected). But, I also get outdrawn in them than in any other scenario as well. I prefer to play them in SNGs, when I know that 2nd place money is guaranteed. I've never watched the final table at a HU multi, but I'm guessing that the final two will chop pretty often (at least I would).
