after that you were toast. I know I'd have a hard time letting go, esp since you were left with so little after he made the boat. |

See, but if I know what he has, I want him to stay in preflop because he's such a huge dog. I figured a slowplay would work most of the time, but I wasn't sure if he'd call a preflop push. If he had something like AQ he probably does not call, and that's part of the group of hands I want in.

With his stack, he'll probably take about 0.01 seconds before calling your over the top reraise. I think you have to do it anyway. If not, what do you if an Ace flops, do you fold if he pushes? If you go over the top and the Kings hold up, you might get away with a bluff over the top later.
