I have posted a new exercise for exam P:
http://www.math.ilstu.edu/krzysio/5-...O-Exercise.pdf This is in response to questions raised by some concerning transformations of random vectors, and sums of random variables, convolution and derivation of the PDF of the result of those operations. The exercise is given with three different solutions, showing three different approaches you can use for sums or differences of random variables: transformation of random vectors, convolution, or the CDF technique. It may feel a bit hairy, but it is meant to show you all of these techniques and help you deal with this kind of problems in every possible way. I hope you will enjoy. Yours, Krzys' Ostaszewski |

Hello,
None of the links to the new problems doesn't. |

The links to my problems are always of exactly the same structure,
first my web site: http://www.math.ilstu.edu/krzysio/ and then filename.pdf where the file name is always: MonthNo-DayNo-YearNo-KO-Exercise where the MonthNo for May is 5, not 05 DayNo for 5 is 5, not 05 and YearNo for 2005 is 5 so the last problem is 6-18-5-KO-Exercise.pdf and the previous ones are: 6-11-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 6-4-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 5-28-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 5-21-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 5-14-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 5-7-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 4-30-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 4-23-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 4-16-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 4-9-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 4-2-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 3-26-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 3-19-5-KO-Exercise.pdf 3-12-5-KO-Exercise.pdf That's all there is. When I post a full link, actuarialoutpost modifies it because of some internal rules, but I do not know why exactly. But this will always the the pattern, and problems will be posted every week, every Saturday. I am sorry about this difficulty, I do not know why actuarialoutpost postings are modified, and some are not. Yours, Krzys' Quote:
