It's my understanding that what they do is all they can do. MLB won't release specifics about drug policy suspensions. All the media knows is that if a player is suspended for 10 days it must be drug policy related, because that is the only policy where a violation has a pre-determined 10-day suspension.

The media knows nothing more than that: how they were 'discovered' to be taking drugs, what they were taking, why, etc. No suspended ballplayer is going to talk specifics to the media and MLB won't release info either...

Good game for the Sox last night, keeping pace with the O's. Wakefield earns his 117th win with the Sox spreading 10 hits and a walk over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs. Sox scored three times after loading the bases with none out. Renteria, who grounded into a double play in the first inning, got the first RBI on a single, Manny hit a sac-fly, and after Ortiz grounded out, a run scored when Millar reached base on an error. The game tied at 3, Youkilis earned POG honors by singling with two on and one out in the 8th off of Farnsworth. Foulke allowed a 2-out single in the 9th (but no home runs) to earn save number 6. Damon went 3/5.

I'm finally able to get WEEI streaming on the internet to listen to the game (although their website says they can't stream game broadcasts due to MLB restrictions? :??? ...it's about a minute behind the actual game, but I actually like listening more than following the MLB GameDay online.


Didn't realize until listening to the radio that the Red Sox didn't have an extra-base hit last night (first time in just over a year), and still managed to win the game...
