Default Why I may never bluff again

I knew he was weak, I knew he was weak, I knew he was weak (I actually figured him for ak after the flop check). Assuming you are in the hand after the flop, does anyone play it differently?

Check out the comment he put down too.

Rule 1 of poker.
Idiots get cards, just as often as everyone else.

Yes I fold on the turn bet.

'Assuming I called preflop' <--- Which I wouldn't.

You went all-in with K high during Level 1 - possibly on the 2nd hand of the tourney after only 2 minutes of play... Are you just upset that he called your bluff? Do you think his call was a worse play than your all-in bet?

Well, it rarely is ever bad to be the aggressor. Bluffing is part of the game.

I woulda bet the flop, though. I am not sure if you were going for the check raise, but you were the favorite against a wide variety of hands, including AJ. The turn made him open ended, so he might have gone AI anyway (I assume, but who knows sometimes), but your aggression on the flop might have discouraged him from chasing on the turn.

Yes, my biggest mistake was calling the preflop reraise to get me into the trouble I got into. I'm generally tightter than that play. It was early and after two folds, I felt the odds were there to take a flop and hope to catch a big hand which could bust him.

The flop was ok but not great, I still only have a flush draw and I'm not sure which of the overs are good.

Post flop - the guy had represented a big hand with the reraise. Do I really want to bet into it and p*ss away more chips when I'm likely to get raised again and either price myself in with a bad draw or have to fold? He checks the flop???? He must have ak cause with that board WHY would you check an overpair?

Turn - well this gives me some hidden outs. This is where I should have bet in hindsight. But if he's going to call an allin checkraise, he's most likely going to call a bet here.

River - if I did bet the turn and get called on the turn, what now? Check/fold? Push?

My biggest problem I continue to face is assuming that these people have any clue as to what they are doing.

Assuming I called preflop, which I wouldn't have, I would have bet the flop.

I don't know what hands the other guy put you on. Based on preflop play, any pocket pair except maybe AA-QQ is possible. All of those have him beat. Any Ax, x > 7 also had him beat. He would have had to put you on KQ or KJ to have any certainty...or put you on Ax, x<7, Kx, x<8, etc...all stuff that he can't count on.

His reasoning could have also gone like this...
-if nittany is bluffing with nothing, then I win
-if nittany has a hand, then my OESD gives me outs against any holding
-I've only put in a few minutes so far, so I might as well go way up or way down and start another
