Lost userid's
Looks like a few userids were lost yesterday. We had a quick power outage at the server that caused a database crash of the userid tables ('lectricity is still apparently a new technology here in Canada). I rebuilt the table, but clearly some userid's didn't make the cut. Looks like some posts may be gone as well. I don't think I can easily recover them.
Sorry for the problems. If you find your userid is gone, please re-register as a new user (with the same userid) and you should be back up and running. glenn webmaster |

Thankfully, no. I expect I'd have been burning some midnight oil rebuilding databases if THAT would have happened.
I haven't confirmed this, but it appeared that the problem was somewhere in userids about 1600-1700 and higher. I'm guessing that only some of the more recent registrations were affected. glenn |

and to think I had this whole elaborate conspiracy worked out...Our old friend Pip hadasked me to direct him to this board yesterday morning, and then, upon discovering that someone had STOLEN his name...well, the rest is just evil, and I can't see Pip doing a thing like that!
