how would you subtract 7:00pm from 8:30pm?

I have tried =d13-d14 =time(d13)-time(d14) can not find anything in help to subtract or add time values. |

Try:
((60*hour(A1)+minute(A1))-(60*hour(B1)+minute(B1)))/60 where A1 = 8:30 PM and B1 = 7:00 PM

d13-d14 should work just fine. But the answer will be in terms of days. So try modifying it to:
24*(d13-d14) and you should get the result you're hoping for. Edit: just tested and confirmed for Excel 2000 |
