Not sure how effective as a terrorist weapon as it takes you 10 years to die.

Based on our experience with anthrax, nobody needs to die. All the terrorists need is enough people believing that US cattle might have mad cow disease.

In that case, people stop eating beef, the government spends billions to buy up all the beef cattle so they can be slaughtered and incinerated, and the terrorists move on to their next US economic segment.
