Default Working on Limit Play - PokerTracker - Merging Hole Cards

I think i figured it out... Playing with the db i have here. Of course you should have a backup copy of your db incase you blow something up.

Each person would have to create a make table query. call the new table HoleCards

select the follow tables to base this query on
game_players
game
players

remove the link between game.player_id and players.player_id (if you don't do this the results will only include the hands you have won with)

They would include the following fields...

from the game_players table...
hole_card_1
hole_card_2
suited
hole_cards
card_order1
card_order2
card_order3
connector_hand
pair_hand

from the game table...
game_number

from the players table...
screen_name (set the criteria to your base screen name, the one you use in tracker.)

also include the following for filtering purposes (uncheck the show option)
from the game table the date_played field and set the criteria to >#1/14/2005# And <#1/15/2005# (obviously correct the date to the date that we played)

Click the view button to verify that you get the same number of rows as hands that you played during that day.

If that looks right click the design button and then click the run query button (!)

That should make the table for you. You would then export this table and send it to a specific person. That person merge all of these tables together and send them back out.

Each person would import this table into their database

Now create an update query.

Select the following tables, HoleCards, game_players, game, players
again remove the link between game.player_id and players.player_id

You want to update the fields of the game_players table
hole_card_1
hole_card_2
suited
hole_cards
card_order1
card_order2
card_order3
connector_hand
pair_hand

the update to should be
[HoleCards]![hole_card_1]
[HoleCards]![hole_card_2]
etc.

Click the view button to verify that you get the same number of rows as there are in the HoleCards table that you imported.

If that looks right click the design button and then click the run query button (!)

And that should be it.

If someone would be so kind as to try to do the first part (the make table) and send that to me i can try the second part on a more than made up data basis. If that works i can try to post a few screen shots that can help you along the way.

I'll do it tonight.

I would suggest starting a separate db for the AO games. That's what I intend to do.

Of course with a few tweaks to the codes this would work for tournaments too.

Anyways, if we go through the hastle of this, the opponents hole card may not show up in the playback window. I'm thinking that the playback window actually goes back and digs up the original hh file still stored on your hd somewhere i believe and pulls its info from there. However when in the ring game window of tracker the stats should reflect the added information.

So if this is the case there is lesser benefit to doing this process.

One alternative that might work is to open your hand history and insert another players hole cards into the text, and then import the file. Havn't tried this to see if it works, see the example below, i added the bolded line. (i'm not sure gators real cards in this hand, i used made up cards). If this works then i'm sure we could figure out a macro or a program that does the grunt work for us.

Here's what I did.

Manually entered in the info in bold

Then Purged those files from Poker Tracker. In this case it was only 1 hand

And then I used the manual file download to pull in the text file above.

(I would suggest trying it) - make sure to pull out the "[ b]" stuff.

Seems to work GREAT! Now it's a matter of writing a macro that can create the above HH from 9 text files. Then I think we are there.

I think I'll try to give full instruction AFTER we figure this out, might be easier. If anyone has questions though let me know.

** Not sure if the Dealt to xxxx has to be in the correct order or not. I would guess the xxxx Folds does.

Just one sticky point:
Dealt to lawfive [ Ah Tc ]
lawfive shows [ Th, Ac ] a flush, ace high

Only cause I really thought that was a fishy play on my part, and without the Ac, I had to do a double take, "wtf were you thinking law?"

Yeah look at the other hands as well -- someone mucked a set and Castle made a GREAT forecasting laydown.

I wasn't worried about accuracy - just wanted to see if it worked.

Though I didn't try to do it incorrect either.

Anyone have tracker use right now?
If so can you try to load the following?
It just mixes up the order of the hole cards
I edited the game number and date/time so you can find it easily to remove from the db later.
