Larry had Kevin McHale, one of the dominant post players ever, and Robert Parish, not to mention playing in an era of marginal defense. Seems a little unfair to fault Horry for playing with good players as well. Who were the other great players on that first Rockets team again besides the Dream. Mario Elie?

Has Horry ever been the 2nd best player on any of his teams?

His highest scoring average in any year was his rookie year @ 13.8. Was he ever even his teams 2nd leading scorer?

He's never averaged 10 boards a game, though he came close with LAL once.

Hall of Fame Probability: .013 (232) - I'd say that's about right.

Are you saying that if Denver or the Lakers traded Melo or Kobe for Horry, they would have been more likely to advance in the playoffs ?

Those teams wouldn't have won 30 games without their star.

Agreed his regular season numbers are not Hall worthy. The goal of the NBA season should be to win championships. Ask anyone on the Warriors how hard it is to hit a shot that really matters in a playoff series. Ask Ewing. Ask Garnett. Ask Karl Malone. Ask Chris Webber. Until this past game, ask Dirk.

There are a ton of chokers set to make the hall. All BSB has done is hit shot after shot after shot that have led to championships. He has also been a good defender.

That Matt Barnes 3 at the end of game 4 was pretty clutch, will that be the start of Big Shot Matt. Tune in tonight to find out...

Yep, a stellar 35.8% clip on those playoff 3 pointers.

Big shot Jason, Matt, and everyone hesitated on shots that could have clinched the series. Think of how NBA history would be different if Horry hesitated on all those shots he made.

Oh, please. Those guys all made plenty of "big" shots in the playoffs. People just remember the ones they missed. Besides, all shots are big shots. They all count the same.

I weep for the actuarial profession if the poll results are for real. Hopefully, these were just joke votes. Robert Horry is indeed the biggest con man in NBA history and anyone who seriously thinks he's a HOF'er is an idiot.

What about all those shots he missed? Judging from 35.6% (which is not bad, mind you), perhaps he should've hesitated to shoot more often.

Hey now, don't use my links against me!! And I showed what a farce that formula is, you are using the height adjustment factor for the 6' 9" Horry and not the 5' Horry which makes him a lock for the Hall.
