Is Larry King an Idiot?

I am watching CNN last night as Mr. King is interviewing Pakistan's leader and I can't help but think - is this really the best CNN (our most prominent international news source) can offer? Larry is reading the questions off cue cards but no follow-up questions (and I don't think larry even understood most of the questions he was asking - he had a puzzled look on his face when he read a question about Kashmir (huh, what does this have do with those sweaters).

Isn't it an embarassment to CNN that this is the person who gets to interview these prominent leaders?
