Default NASA Chief says Shuttle was a mistake.

USA Today Article

Quote:
The space shuttle and International Space Station — nearly the whole of the U.S. manned space program for the past three decades — were mistakes, NASA chief Michael Griffin said Tuesday.
Does someone finally get it?

No, they're finally admitting it. I'm sure they got it long ago.

He's good on what's been bad, but then there's this:
Quote:
Only now is the nation's space program getting back on track, Griffin said. He announced last week that NASA aims to send astronauts back to the moon in 2018 in a spacecraft that would look like the Apollo capsule.
Redoing Apollo is not a step in the right direction. Putting men on another world once to be able to say that we did it is one thing. But why do it again?

Because there is only so much time left for Earth as a habitable planet , so we need to move onto Mars and just use the Earth as a supply depot.
