Alright, now that the exam is over, does anyone have any opinion concerning which material is best for 8V -Investments?
Was 8V very easy this time? |

I would not say very easy, just fair. Maybe I would agree with computationally light. It still required you to know tiny details from many of the study notes. So would be tough to pass if you didn't put in a lot of study hours I think.
I used Actex - I thought it was fine but not great. I did really appreciate the supplemental problem workbook. It worked well for me as I tried to memorize lists. |

Goldfarb's manual makes the computational stuff very easy to understand. Doesn't help with memorization, though. And his seminar is not particularly useful... |

Actually I studied both and typed up my own outline based on info in both manuals and if time permitting (and I could stomach it) also used the underlying readings to make sure I didn't miss anything. I also went to the seminar and thought it was helpful but it wasn't earth shattering or anything. |

Do they keep changing the focus of the exam, meaning lists vs computation, from exam to exam, like they have done for course 6 recently?
In general, do you guys think that there is inadequate study material for this exam? Do you actually have to read the material carefully vs rely on the SN's, as some people do? |
