That's basically the vibe I got from it. Do you know what kind of music it is? Classical FF music? J-pop? I assume some kind of mix leaning to pop.

I imagine it's all FF music....so basically orchestral, although I imagine they'll throw in some of the terrible remix stuff, like the tracks from FFXIII-2 Nothing like rap/metal remix of the chocobo song...

More RE6 news came out of the Captivate conference last week.

RE6 will have you play through 3 separate/concurrent stories that may intertwine. One as Leon, one as Chris, and one as (slight spoiler?) Wesker's son. Each will have their own story-based co-op player, similar to RE5.

Aside from being "Gears of Evil" or "Resident of War" with the play style finally allowing run and gun, this will be a zombie game again (different from RE4 and RE5, where the villains were just infected people still with cognitive abilities).

I also heard that they are trying to go even more into horror as well. Like there will be extended scenes of just walking around without enemies and with jump scares (RE1). Either way, I'm interested. I'll wait to see reviews. I have no problem with RE4 & RE5 in becoming a little more action oriented, but the more I hear Gears of War, the less I'll be interested. That goes with any game. I don't think move & shoot is necessarily going to make it more like that game though.

To me, a game somewhere between RE4 and Gears sounds very appealing!

Playing all three campaigns is supposedly about 30 hours of gameplay. Each story is supposed to be slightly shorter than RE5, but put together are much longer.

To me, a game somewhere between RE4, Left 4 Dead, and Gears of War sounds appealing. I got legitimately scared in L4D the first 15-30 times I played. Going through an area that was empty, low on health, low on ammo, thinking, "I bet the safe room is near." Then the moaning of the horde... OH the moaning! Then sprinting for the safe room in hopes that it's close. If they can bring that fear back, that would be awesome.

I am legitimately excited for an RE title for the first time since RE2. There was a period between RE2 and RE5 that I didn't play video games much. So, I didn't have the hype for RE3 or RE4 just due to time constraints.

Here's what I'm hoping is put out on PSN and XBLA (or Games on Demand):
Captain America & The Avengers - The arcade game and hopefully around May 4 when the movie launches.
Resident Evil 1 - 3 (I will settle for any of them, I think only RE1 was remastered for Gamecube. I should pick that up and play it on Wii)
