Default More terror attacks, and a response

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/...za/index.html/
http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/...ast/index.html

After more rockets were fired on Israel, they decided to bomb the area rockets were launched from. They sent out warnings to all civilians to clear the area before they did it. Yet the response of the Palestinians? Another suicide bombing. Now wait and see how many civilians the arabs claim were killed during the attacks. Yet they claim there is still hope for peace. Yeah right.
Edit: Of course, the rockets were fired from Gaza. What was it the arabs said? Give it to us and there will be peace? Translation: Give it to us so we can kill you more easily.

Feif - why do you think Pals hate freedom?
Born that way, or a product of the evil religion of Islam?

Honestly, I'm not sure. Maybe they are just so used to not being abl to make decisions on their own that being able to do it scares them. Kind of like after the US ended slavery, there were a large number of black people who preferred their old life, having a place to live, and their purpose cut out for them.

Do you think that the Pals might wage war in the same way that Israel does if they had a comparable army?

Do you think there might be a disconnect between the legitimate Palestinian authority (the one promising peace) and an remaining extremist movement?

Think there might be a difference between a slave who has all their earthly needs provided by a master and a group that believes they're fighting for their freedom?

Arab countries have ligitimate armies. Most of the time they aren't capable of carrying out a sustained, coordinated attack. They can't keep formations, they run at signs of trouble, etc. At least that's what I've seen and read in my history studies of that region. As far as the authority being seperate, no, I honestly don't think so. When Arafat was in charge, they found links between him and the terrorists, despite what he said at the time. Why should this be any different? If a leader takes real steps to end terrorism, instead of just "calling on them to cease their attacks", then you might have a case. It hasn't happened yet.

I meant that arabs seem to be incapable of democracy. Look at the sutuation in Iraq now. Have you read the latest reports how they're going to split up into different factions possibly going into diferent countries? They seem to want a dictato to rule over them, not a democracy. They don't care about their freedom there, they just want to kill the Jews. So many of them have said they won't rest until all the Jews are killed.

I think they have a hatred of their neighbor, Israel, due to the years of hatred that they have seen while growing up. There are a few idiots on both sides who choose retaliation instead of realizing that a peace process requires some cooperation. Most people side with Israel simply because their attacks are seen more as pre-emptive strikes aimed at the militants who shoot guns and rockets at Israelis. Often there is some sort of warning given by the military that they are going to attack somewhere and that if you are a civilian, get out or you may be an "innocent" victim. While unfortunate that people either do not listen to, or hear the warnings, it is certainly more warning than is given when suicide bombers focus on large gatherings of civilians and give no warnings which the only goal I can see is to use a body count as a bargaining chip in a negotiation later on or to simply retaliate for their own people being killed because they didn't listen or hear the warnings given.

Actually, a lot of the time they did hear the warnings, and they purposely ignore it so that they can say Israel is killing civilians. They look at the victims as martyrs just like suicide bombers. Kinda sick, really.
