An interesting commentary. The author implies that the increase in what he sees as amoral (immoral?) behavior is caused by the decline in church attendance. As actuaries we know that correlation does not prove cause and effect.

Also, what has any of the above have to do with the birth rate? If anything, the declining birth rate probably stems from economic problems.

Well, good catholics don't use BC....
