As I noted in another thread, you might be able to replace those with something like a South Beach Diet breakfast wrap, or a Lean Pockets breakfast wrap. This would only work if you have a freezer and microwave where you work, but if so, try taking some of the wraps in and then just popping them in the microwave for a minute or so to get at least some of the taste you apparently like for reasonable calories and fat (and with South Beach, really good protein and fiber, to boot).

Yeah. Bacon is my weakness. It will also be my cause of death someday, I'd assume.

Hm. I'll take a look for those.

For now, I picked up a box of Slim-Fast Optima bars (Oatmeal Raisin). It sounds a lot better than the nutritional facts indicate, but for now, it's better than McDonalds. Baby steps.

Thanks for all the input!

Wat, you seem like the kind of guy who'd benefit from the same motivation I use: the girl. I'm sure she's at least in the back of your mind, but regardless, always be sure she's front and center in your mind when it's eatin' time or gym time. Doesn't she deserve a trim, fit wat to get down and dirty with? Add in those crazy exams you keep passing and she'd be dating an intellectual sexual dynamo!

That probably sounds kind of lame or hokey or whatever, but seriously, I bet she deserves it. Think about it!

Good point. I'll try and keep that thought fresh, Minnesota.

My gf, though, is the type that can't gain weight. No matter how much food I try and buy for her, she won't gain weight. 5'5" and breaks 115 after we've eaten a buffet and got caught in the rain. Maybe.

Anyway, I lost 3.5 lbs (weighed in at 196.5 Sunday morning). All I'm doing right now is eating a little less, eating a SlimFast Optima bar every now and again and making it a point to move around a little more. I guess I'm also getting into the habit of second-guessing myself w.r.t. hunger. If I catch myself thinking, "I'm hungry" and make a movement for food, I stop and think, "Am I really hungry?" Usually I'm not, so I don't. Also, I've been chewing gum a little more often, which keeps my mouth busy (so I can't toss food in), and also fills my mouth with the minty taste (which, to my recollection, doesn't go well with too many foods out there).

Exercise: walks during lunch (~20-30 minutes), danced at a club on Saturday night, beach soccer on Sunday.

If you don't like grits, I think it may be because you're not putting enough cheese and butter in them. And theY have to be Quaker Quick Grits or Hominy Grits. If you use fat free cheese, and Brumel & Brown butter, they're not all that bad for you, and 101% delicious.

It's been a while since I've checked in, but I'm doing better - eating less, and eating somewhat healthier. Lost 5 lbs. or so since I started (might even be 10, since I think I hit 205 at one point.

Subway's become my safe haven. It's expensive, though - I'll look into bringing more salads when I get back from Florida (I leave today).

Again, thanks for all the suggestions!

Okay, wat? fell way off the wagon. Haven't been eating terribly, but haven't been making any progress. Will do a lot more after C6 is done, but have been starting to work out, even if it's only 1/2 hour a night.

(Meanwhile, my studying is coming together - at least 6-7 hours a day for the past 2 weeks or so.)
