We have pigeons and squirrels too, so you won't go homesick. Plus we have wild paraquets (SP?), flamingos, among other "exotic" animals. Sometimes we get sharks but more likely to see a Ray or two.
I came to Florida two years ago in March and was soooo excited when I spotted manatees. I spent something like two hours watching them. Everyone else was like "can we go now?!" but I was happy just staying there!

You don't know how jealous I am! Do you know how many vacations I've taken and specifically went out of my way to an area known for moose, just in hopes of seeing one?! I'm a big sucker for wild animals. I'm going to go visit my AO friends in Florida, then I'm coming to Maine! Hope you have a spare bedroom....

Yep. You can come visit me anytime and we'll play spot the Moose!

When my in-laws came visiting for the first time after we moved up here, my MIL really, really wanted to see a moose. They stayed two weeks and not a hair did we see. The morning they were to leave we were sitting at breakfast and two of them walked into the yard, about 10 feet from the dining room window. So MIL got her wish, just under the wire!

I like spotting them from inside the house. Not so much from inside the car, as I did last night. I stopped at the top of the driveway, stared at him, he stared at me, then he decided to turn and wander off behind the house instead of charging the car. *phew*

Personally I think days are overrated. Like yesterday, who the heck cares about yetserday, live in the now people. And today, same sh*t different day, who cares. And tomorrow, tomorrow is worst of all. I don't even know what's going on tomorrow. What if I get hit by a bus tonight? Then tomorrow won't even be there. No sirry, tomorrow is too uncertain for me. Just give me next week and I'll be happy. Too far away to worry about, yet can old so many wonderful possibilities. So fluid and forgiving....yeah next week is where it's at. Take your stupid days and shove 'em

We have those 2. And cows. Tuesday night I was driving home and saw a baby cow walking on the side of the road. I stopped to stare and he ran towards my truck. Not knowing what a wild cow was capable of I sped off, turned around and started searching for the owner. But alas, I had to leave the poor cow on the side of the road.
