Default which software do life actuaries use?

I heard SAS is used mainly on the P&C side. Do Life Actuaries use SAS? If not, which software do they use most beside Excel?

I use Access all the time. Also our proprietary database/mainframe system.

I use reports other people have created from Annuity Master frequently.

I've never touched SAS - but I've only been there a month and a half

Actuaries in life use SAS sometimes. Other packages that are used:
APL
Access
VBA for Excel/Access

And various specialized software packages:

Total-Life
ArcVal
PolySystems
PTS
ALFA
MoSes
TAS

And various proprietary software packages.
