Default Module 5 Exercise Deadline

Assume somebody submits their end of module 5 exercise right on/before the August 7th deadline. {X} days later, they get an e-mail from the SOA stating that they did not meet minimum requirements.
Will they be able to redo?

If x <= 7 they will not be allowed to sit for the exam.

Better get that exercise in early if you aren't confident you can meet min. requirements.

How do you get X<=7? Based on your quote from the registration form, X has to be less than 0.
Which definitely will encourage me to get that exercise in way before August 7th.

if you find out after the 14th you can still take the exam, from what the registration says.

I take this to mean that if you receive a notice indicating your module exercise was rejected any time after August 7th, you won't be writing on the 22nd.

You're suggesting that someone who submits their module 5 exercise on August 7th, has it rejected on August 18th will be able to write on August 22nd? Even if they were able to complete a second exercise between the 18th and 22nd, the 7th deadline has already passed. In this case, I don't think you'll be allowed to write.

Am I way off with my thinking here?

Then what's the reason for having "August 14th" in there?

This gives students a calendar date that, if their exercise hasn't been rejected by, ensures them that they'll be able to write on the 22nd.

If they didn't put it in, the SOA, *could* (highly unlikely, quite cruel, but certainly possible if they worded it like that) reject an exercise on the 20th, or 21st.

But you're suggesting that they're gonna do that anyway, regardless of whether they've put in the "August 14th" deadline or not.

For mostly practical reasons, I think that the translation of what you think is incorrect is actually correct.

So what you all are saying, is that if my exercise isn't rejected by the 14th, but is rejected before the 22nd, then I'm ok to write? I assumed this wasn't true, as I wouldn't have all the prerequisites satisfied.
