I think a lot of people are picking the Nets over the Raptors.

Since Wade has never been in the top 5 in scoring and Anthony has outscored him in 3 of 4 seasons, how is he relevant to Anthony's total points?
Another setup so he could remind us how Wade has played in more playoff games than 'Melo has (without mentioning that Wade plays in the weaker conference, where winning 45-50 games gets you into a first round series against a team that's no better than yours, instead of making you a heavy underdog against an elite team as it does in the West, or that he plays with Shaq)

Are you already making excuses? I thought SA was going to "have their hands full" with Denver. So which is it? A blow out series or a tough fought battle with the victor in doubt?

Nice try, but there's no contradiction in my statements.

I like the way Denver has been playing lately and am optimistic that they'll play well and be competitive in the series. None of the experts have predicted them to win the series, and the Vegas line confirms that the Spurs are expected to win, so there is no debating whether or not the Nuggets are underdogs.

Maybe, but that same Heat team beat the team from the "stronger" conference last year.

I'm a big fan of Wade, but the Heat did have an easier road to the Finals than the Mavs, who might've been worn down from their epic battles with the Spurs and Suns, and Wade does have the big fella on his side.

And, of course, others have argued that the main reason Miami won was because the refs called a foul every time someone breathed on Wade.

Doesn't really matter when he loses his 4th game in a row on wed.

What did Melo have 6 turnovers and only a few boards? Even with an all star like Iverson and Defensive player of the year Camby, Melo can't elevate his game in the 4th quarter but disappears into the shadows with the game on the line.

Meanwhile, a player with heart like Bob Horry is more of a factor with the game on the line than the so called quentin "superstar" who can't get out of the first round of the playoffs yet again.

Maybe someone should start a Robert Horry appreciation thread:

Quote:
Robert Horry keeps adding to his resume and the Denver Nuggets' playoff losses.

"Big Shot Rob" hit a 3-pointer from the right corner with 30 seconds left in game 4 to seal San Antonio's 96-89 victory over the Nuggets on Monday night that gave the Spurs a 3-1 lead in the first-round series.

The Spurs can close out the best-of-seven series at home on Wednesday night.

The 36-year-old Horry more than lived up to his reputation for coming through under playoff pressure on this trip to the Rockies -- his swipe of an inbounds pass and subsequent 3-pointer sparked the Spurs' win in Game 3.
Horry has more game than Melo in the last two minutes of a playoff game.
