Default Rockstar: Supernova

OK, I am getting into this show. The music is SOOOO much better than the American Idol crap elevator music.

Tonights show had some great songs. I think the band has already made their pick, and will just let the summer roll along (Dilana). I can't believe they have kept Sayda as long as they have.

Ryan did a great version of "Fortunate Son" I hope he stays around a while longer.

I love Storm. She has the looks to be a rockstar. And her voice isn't bad either.

Dana has a great voice, but she is too country. She's a brunette Leann Rhimes.

I missed last night's show, but I've watched it the last 2 weeks. I also watched the show last season and found it much better than watching reruns.

My guess is that Supernova will end up choosing a female singer since the women seem to be singing better than the men this season.

She was pretty bad last night. Flat on most of the song.

I've been underwhelmed by the singers so far. Also, their song choices are horrible. Maybe they are saving the best for last.

What's the deal with those girls playing guitar? They are obviously not actually playing. If they are having trouble with stage presence, just show more cleavage.

Last night was the first episode I've seen. Based only on that, I'd like to see at least two out of Lukas, Storm, Dana, Josh and Toby in the bottom 3. Was surprised they weren't more critical of Lukas, but they obviously have favorites already. Dana was good, but she doesn't fit on this show at all.

Storm Large has to be the worst stage name I've seen.

Storm Large claims it is her real name.

I think Zayra is either clueless or really ballsy. She is just singing whatever style music she feels like...if I were her, I would fight to get a song that I could rock out to. Her "Everybody Hurts" was good but has absolutely nothing in common with the style of music Supernova will do.

Dilana seems perfect for them.

I think it's kind of unfair that they keep picking so many wussy songs and then criticizing people for singing them, but perhaps they are supposed to figure out a way to rock it out. Like Lukas did, I guess.

IMHO, this show blows even worse than American Idol, because at least American Idol is honest about having sold its soul to corporate America.

The judges are just so pathetic. The one good point was when they condescendingly asked a girl, "Have you even heard our music?" and she said, "No. I was a little kid when your cds came out."

Never stopped me... I've been listening to music that's older than me and/or made by people my mom's age most of my life.

The show is getting better. They dumped two of the stragglers last night. One or two more and things will get tough for the band.

Is there a touch of irony in the band being named Supernova (i.e. spectacular star death)?
