Seems they were actually playing basketball, not some over-evolved 1-on-1 contest.

Since the coach isn't Larry Brown, this team should dominate.

I was dial twisting and saw the score was something like 24-25. Didn't check back til this moring. Guess USA dominated after that.

Definitely... there were quite a few quality passes and cuts. Although I did notice there was a lot of 3-chucking. Granted, that's a good strategy in the int'l game, and it worked well. I didn't see any stats from the game, but we certainly seemed to be hitting our fair share.

Yeah. 3 point lead at the end of 1 Qtr. Game was in Las Vegas (I think) and started at 11 PM EST. I was about to turn the TV off when I saw there was a game.

Coach K teams usually shot a lot of 3s.

Then why did he cut JJ? He's showed that can definitely shoot the 3.

b/c is not ALL about the 3. even if JJ is the better shooter then everyone on the team, their other skills vs. his make them more valuable.

I was actually thinking last night how similar the USA's style looked to Duke in general. Between the threes and the pressure D (and Battier running around), it kind of looked like a typical non-conference Duke game.

Shooting 3's with a hand in one's face is not a good strategy. Shooting off a pick is better strategy.
