Default Wal-mart.com selling textbooks

Surprisingly, Wal-mart has started selling textbooks on its web site. All the Course 2 and 3 books are listed, but some are not currently available. Most appear to be priced somewhat higher than traditional actuarial sources.

They are reaching a different market and are not specializing in actuarial books. I would be willing to wager that 99% of those buying books at Wal-mart.com have no idea about the actuarial book sources.

The customer may see the book and decide they want it, or the book needed for a college course and may be cheaper than at the college bookstore.

... or perhaps they get reimbursed by their company and enjoy screwing them out of every penny possible.

Yes! These people have figured it out! Do everything possible to screw the source of your paycheck! A manager is born!
