Default Why is this section always empty?

I mean if actuaries want to be the premier risk experts you would think there would be some discussion first. And no better place than here right?

It seems like they have deleted threads or moved them out of this section. I know I responded on one thread asking how P&C actuaries will handle ERM when they have struggled so much with DFA. I can't find that post now.

Nah, that's still right here in this section: http://www.actuarialoutpost.com/actu...21#post1719021

I haven't really noticed that. There might have been a few threads moved or something, but more likely what's happening is that like 90% of all Outpost posts are in the non-professional sections. And this is a relatively new section. For example, less than a dozen new threads have been started in the property and casualty section this month. But the P&C actuaries are certainly reading them, though.

Actually, a handful of new threads per month in this section is pretty good. Especially since some of this content overlaps with other areas of the forum. When this section was first created, I worked on producing some content here. If something isn't being discussed here and you'd like it discussed, bring it up.

I would not call this section empty, though. There's a lot of timely, informative stuff, which I expect will grow nicely in the next several years.

When I follow the link it says it is in the Risk Management section. However, I don't see the thread in the list (I only see three topics). Do threads 'disappear' after some time unless you search for them?

Go to this page: http://www.actuarialoutpost.com/actu...do=editoptions

Near the bottom change your default to "view all threads" or something like that.

Still trying to figure out how to get 'there'; but in meantime I love your post, sounds like something we should talk about

I think I've used up my allowance on "the world is ending" by talking about my disagreement with the SOA changes. I don't want to get into the DFA difficulties. It's probably time to sit this play out until we figure out that trident incident.

In reality DW, this thread is always empty that's why it didn't show up until after we made adjustment.
